LGD-Gaming, LGD.Forever Young, Invictus Gaming Vitality and EHOME.Keen have advanced to the Chinese qualifier playoffs for The Boston Major at the completion of the round robin on Saturday.
LGD exited the round robin with a near-flawless 8-1 record, only dropping a game to iG.V. LGD's sister team, Forever Young, tied iG.V with a 7-2 record for second. The fourth slot came down to the only tiebreaker of all the regional qualifiers, between EHOME.Keen and Invictus Gaming, both with a 5-4 record.
EHOME.K and iG were in a dead heat for the first 40 minutes of the tiebreaker match, as EHOME.K racked up kills but iG kept afloat with farm. However, iG just couldn't take a late-game fight, and they eventually lost at 47 minutes.
With the round robin concluded, here's what the semifinal matches look like:
LGD-Gaming vs. Invictus Gaming Vitality
LGD.ForeverYoung vs. EHOME.Keen
The bracket kicks off tomorrow, Oct. 30, at 12 a.m. ET. One team will move on to Boston from the Winner's Finals, and another will qualify from the Loser's Finals, which will take place on Oct. 31.
